At the start of the year, we compiled a list of the top recruiting conferences to attend in 2020. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, several have been rescheduled, postponed or outright cancelled. Fortunately, most of the conferences immediately affected are going digital, so people who registered in advance will be able to tune in to the specific sessions at their leisure. Of course, we’ll be missing out on all the fun and networking opportunities that come from actually being there, but at least registrants will still be able to utilize those actionable insights in their day-to-day business. Fingers crossed that those scheduled for later in the year will go off without a hitch.
Here’s our *updated* list of Top Staffing & Recruiting Conferences 2020
1. Staffing Industry Analysts Executive Forum RESCHEDULED
DATE: April 16 (Virtual)
The SIA Executive Forum was abruptly cancelled in early March, just before social distancing and ‘Shelter in Place’ orders went into effect. After a slight delay, the conference has gone entirely virtual, with staffing industry insights from CEOs, owners and senior executives across sectors. Registrants have access to 25+ on-demand sessions available to watch at their convenience for a full year.

2. SourceCon (Virtual)
DATE: March 23-25
SourceCon in Seattle is now SoruceCon Digital, making it the (virtual) place to learn new sourcing strategies, technologies, and methods that peers from the staffing industry are using to find top candidates. Speakers share the trials and tribulations they have gone through, and what they did to overcome them as well as insights, lessons learned, and perspectives that will help you in your own career.
Attendees participated via a live stream of the entire conference including breakout tracks, and have access to an archive of recordings for a month after the conference. Registrants also received a free one-year license to SourceCon Academy, a series of online comprehensive training modules for sourcers and recruiters.

3. ERE Recruiting Conference (Virtual)
DATE: April 15-17
ERE happened on the regularly scheduled date, but it’s occurred virtually instead of onsite in San Diego (sorry to those of you in cooler climates). At ERE, talent acquisition professionals learn the best solutions to improve recruiting at their organization. Each speaker at this event is chosen because they continually produce results and have laid the foundation for long term success. Content from the virtual conference will be available to attendees for a month after the event.

4. StaffingTec RESCHEDULED: (Virtual)
DATE: July 8
StaffingTec has been postponed and will now be presented as a digital conference on July 8th. This is first explicit staffing industry tech focused conference designed to help you find new staffing tech solutions that drive growth. You’ll immerse yourself in emerging staffing tech trends and gain expert insights that will shape your long-term vision and near-term strategy.

5. Indeed Interactive Worldwide – CANCELLED
Initially scheduled for early May, Indeed Interactive Worldwide has been cancelled this year. However, they offering expanded guidance and resources to help businesses navigate this difficult time.
6. Bullhorn Engage: Austin, TX
DATE: June 17-19
No big changes yet from the organizers of Bullhorn Engage. As of this posting, it’s still on for mid-June in Austin, Texas. This event has become a go-to for networking and learning from leaders in the staffing industry.

7. Staffing Hub Live: Boulder, CO
DATE: September 28-30
This event, as of now, is still on. I was lucky enough to attend their inaugural event in 2019 and I am already looking forward to going back this year. This invite-only conference has a more personal and intimate vibe. They have an intense focus on learning and charity. Throw in an amazing location like Boulder, this is a cannot miss event.

8. ASA Staffing World: Nashville, TN
DATE: October 20-22
Still set to take over Music City in October, ASA Staffing World promises to be one the best staffing conferences of the year. As of now, the conference is still on and registration is open.
There is something for everyone at Staffing World: they spare no expense to put on a great show, and you’ll walk away armed with knowledge and inspiration from their sessions and Keynote speakers.

DATE: November 10-12
